Receiving Files Sent with Share Safe

When a client sends a file to you using Share Safe, you will receive an email notification that includes the file name. You can access the file on the Share Safe tab in Document Central. From there, you can add the file to Document using the procedure below.

Important: Files uploaded using Share Safe are automatically purged from the Incoming files tab 30 days after they are sent. Purged files are not retained in the Recycle Bin. Files that are within five days of being purged display in red text. If needed, you can also delete a file from the Incoming file tab manually.

Note: If needed, you can preview, download, or request clarification for a file before you add it to Document.

  1. Click the Share Safe tab on Document Central.
  2. In the Client uploaded files in Share Safe section, select the files to add to Document.
  3. Click Add Files, or drag and drop the file to one of the client's folders.
  4. Enter information for the files in the Add files window as needed.
  5. Click Upload Selected Files.
